| Often called the Nice
of the Adriatic, Opatija is one of Croatia's most
popular tourist resorts.
A favored summer destination of the Austro-Hungarian
nobility, the Opatija Riviera is still today a
gathering place for the elite.
The City boasts a 12 km walking path along the
seafront (Lungomare) with beautiful beaches, manicured
gardens and first class hotels and restaurants.
Entertainment is year-round beginning with Carnival
in January and February, the Porin Festival in
March, the International Yacht Regatta in May,
and the Opatija Yacht Cup in November, among other
offerings
Opatija's temperate climate and close proximity
by car to major European cities make the Riviera
an excellent choice for a vacation residence.
Located on the Eastern coast of the Istrian Peninsula
on Rijeka Bay, Opatija can be easily accessed
by air or roadways.
